Grocery Member Referral Promotion
MECU serves employees or family members of employees of Motorola, Inc, and rely less on mass media and more on member-focused marketing. They partnered with Third Degree to create a word-of-mouth worthy referral program for their members.

Putting food on the table is something that is fundamentally family and financially oriented. We wanted our messaging to position MECU as solidly providing for their members as they always had. Third Degree concepted a grocery give-away promotion, where a lucky member could win up to $400 in groceries for themselves and their referral.

We took advantage of one of our primary points of contact with the member, the MECU MECU service centers, and created three dimensional standees, that could be embellished with real groceries.

No real-estate opportunity was overlooked, in addition to table-top decals and posters, we also created carpet clings, made to resemble toppled bags of groceries.

We also created die cut direct mail that carried out the grocery sack theme. With copy emphasizing MECU as a not-for-profit alternative to big banks, we're helping them put their difference "on the table" for their members to know and share.
